Cider route in Brittany

Cornouaille is a region in the South of Finistère, known for its high quality cider, produced with the best cider apples.

The cider from Cornouaille has the Protected Designation of Origin (AOC) and is produced in 38 towns.

The Cornouaille cider route is an indispensable stage to visit 10 cider mills, to learn the production process and to taste the products. It is the promise of a wonderful trip, between land and ocean, with some stops to visit and to taste.

In the city of Fouesnant, an apple tree party is organized in July.

To learn more about the alembics used to distil the cider, you can visit the Museum of the Alembic (traditional distillery of Plessis) in Quimper.
